Mounjaro vs Wegovy

About this site: the referee's job

Mounjaro vs Wegovy is a single-question website. The UK has two dominant prescription weight-loss injections, and almost everyone weighing them up asks the same thing: which one — and at what price? We exist to answer that question properly, in every dimension it can be asked.

How we score the fight

Every verdict on this site follows the same order of evidence. A head-to-head trial beats separate placebo-controlled trials; placebo-controlled trials beat observational claims; and the official UK product information beats anecdote every time. Where the evidence is genuinely close — as it is on side effects — we say "draw" rather than invent a winner, because a comparison site that always finds a dramatic result isn't comparing, it's performing.

Concretely, our results verdicts lean on SURMOUNT-1 and the SURMOUNT-5 head-to-head for Mounjaro (tirzepatide), and STEP 1 and the SELECT cardiovascular trial for Wegovy (semaglutide). Our side-effect comparisons come from the medicines' official information, not forum threads. When we're unsure, we'd rather be vague and right than precise and wrong.

Where the prices come from

Our tables track the published prices of 24 UK providers — every one of them a GPhC-registered pharmacy or a CQC-regulated clinic. We record the ongoing price per pen (4 weekly doses) at each dose, plus any first-month introductory offer and the code that unlocks it. Prices on this site were last checked on 4 July 2026. We list nothing we can't verify, and we never list unregulated sellers or so-called "compounded" alternatives — those are the fight you don't take.

The tables are always sorted by ongoing price, cheapest first. That ordering is not for sale, has never been for sale, and won't be.

What we are not

We are not a pharmacy, a clinic or a prescriber. We don't sell, supply or dispense anything, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Mounjaro and Wegovy are prescription-only medicines with real side effects, and the decision to use either belongs to you and a qualified prescriber. If you take one message from this page, make it this: buy only from regulated providers, and report any suspected side effect via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.

Corrections

A referee who won't review the replay is no referee at all. If you spot a stale price, a factual error or a broken link, tell us — corrections go to the front of the queue, and we'd rather fix a mistake today than defend it tomorrow.
